Anastasiya Deem, a certified registered nurse practitioner, has joined TidalHealth as a care provider at the TidalHealth Primary Care office in Ocean Pines, where she is accepting new patients.
Deem received her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner Certification from Salisbury University. During her time there, she also gained leadership experience during a DNP project, “Nurse-Led Advance Care Planning in Primary Care.”
This project was to implement evidence-based, nurse-led advance care planning discussions with patients living with chronic conditions in a primary care setting. She is also the leader of the “Communication-Education about Advance Directives” strategic planning subcommittee at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.
Deem previously worked at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional as a registered nurse starting in 2010, and joined Patient Care Management as a care coordinator in 2014. She later became an accredited case manager in 2016, thus is very familiar with outpatient resources in this area. She is board certified in family medicine by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Carolyn Macuha, a certified registered nurse practitioner, has joined TidalHealth as a care provider at the TidalHealth Primary Care office in Berlin, where she is accepting new patients.
Macuha graduated with honors and received her Post-Masters Family Nurse Practitioner Certification from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts in May 2020.
She completed her Master of Arts in Nursing Administration at the University of Makati in 2013 and graduated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Cum Laude) at Far Eastern University in 2010.
She is passionate about providing holistic care with a focus on good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. She is board certified in family medicine by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Macuha was born in the Philippines, where she worked as a Neurology ICU nurse. In 2005, she received a National Award from the Republic of the Philippines, and earned a Chief Girl Scout Medal when she led and coordinated a community project on health and sanitation.
Macuha and her family moved to the Eastern Shore four years ago.

Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Jaime Wilson of Berlin as adult education instructional coordinator.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University. Wilson began teaching in 2000, and previously worked for Wor-Wic as a developmental math instructor for four years.
