The Women’s Club of Ocean Pines was unable to host its annual Fashion Show luncheon in April and its Game Day in June because of the covid-19 pandemic.

Despite the cancellations, the Scholarship Committee announced on June 23 awards to three recipients of its college scholarships for 2020, valued at $900 each.

The awardees are: Madison Birckett, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; Sydney Boger, Penn State University; and Madison Munn, Regent University.

These Stephen Decatur High School graduates were awarded scholarships for their academic achievements, extracurricular involvement and dedication to their community.

President’s List

Worcester County residents named to the President’s List for their respective schools are: Caroline Pasquariello and Corinne Krasner, both of Berlin, James Madison University; and Tara Fischer of Berlin, University of Alabama.

Dean’s List

Worcester County residents named to the Dean’s List for their respective colleges are: Parker Williams of Berlin, University of Delaware; Cooper Richins of Berlin, Furman University; Samantha Wolpin of Bishopville, University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences; Alexander Wright of Berlin, Bethel University’s College of Professional Studies; Riley Dickerson of Ocean Pines, Champlain College; Arran Mills, of Ocean Pines, Frostburg State University; Hunter Morris, of Berlin, Frostburg State University; Lindsay Forno, Bishopville, Hofstra University.
