Joseph Richard Beatty, Jr., 68, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019.

Born in Catonsville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Joseph R. Beatty, Sr. and Cornelia Beatty.

In addition to his loving wife of 25 years, Mary Carduff-Beatty, he is survived by a daughter, Anna M. McBride of Baltimore; three grandchildren, Brandon, Samantha and Emily McBride; and his beloved “fur babies,” Cody, Beau and Sammy.

He was a 1965 graduate of Baltimore Poly-Tech High School and attended Catonsville Community College and the University of Baltimore. He spent most of his adult life in the real estate/building industry.

Joe will always be remembered for his great smile and positive attitude. He was an avid reader, sailor and had an intense love of animals.

A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
