The Historic House Tour organized by the Ocean City Museum Society was a great success from all viewpoints.
On Saturday, Oct. 13, those who took part in this event had the pleasure of touring eight historic locations within Ocean City. With map in hand and coats buttoned, groups of friends and family set off on foot to tour a mix of private homes, churches, and B&Bs.
The unique history of this island unfolded as docents at each location shared information about the property’s past. The purpose of the Historic House Tour was to raise money for the George and Suzanne Hurley Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is open to graduates of Stephen Decatur High School who plan on furthering their education and is awarded annually.
Our sponsors are responsible for bringing this event to fruition and ultimately strengthening the scholarship fund.
