Decatur hosted the seven-school match on its home course at GlenRiddle Golf Club on Tuesday in Berlin.
“Overall, we played a really solid round with everyone playing really good golf,” said Decatur Coach Dan Stearman. “We need to continue to compete if we want to have a chance at winning the South [Bayside Conference].”
Decatur’s foursome scored a 173. The team was led by freshman Kole Kohut, who shot a 40. Also contributing to the victory was senior captain Katelyn Davis (41) and freshmen Evan Oglesby (44) and AJ Kole (49).
Parkside finished in second place with a 188, followed by James M. Bennett in third (198).
The next day, the Bayside Conference South teams competed at the Ocean Pines Golf Club.

Kohut led the group with a 39, followed by Oglesby (42), junior captain Abby Wesche (45) and freshman Dennis Bontempo (49).
“[We] came up a little short against a very good Parkside team,” Stearman said. “The team really played great overall. I’m very proud of how they all competed.”
