(April 2, 2021) The Stephen Decatur volleyball team won Tuesday’s match, three games to one, over the North Dorchester Eagles in Hurlock, Maryland.

Decatur pulled out a 25-23 victory in the first game. North Dorchester took the second game, 25-18. The visiting Lady Seahawks earned 25-9 and 25-16 wins in the third and fourth games.

“They played well as a team and came back really strong after losing the second game,” said Decatur Coach Sara Patrick. “We made some changes in the rotation and I was happy to see the team was able to be positive and productive with the changes. They work so well as an entire team and not just the few starting six.”

Senior captain Brooklyn Pugner had three aces, two kills, 20 assists and 20 digs. Junior Logan Patrick chipped in with two aces and 10 kills. Senior captain Alexis Graybill added nine kills and 13 digs.

Sophomore Sydney Patrick recorded two aces, four kills, one block and seven digs. Junior Abby Greenwood had two aces and eight digs.

Decatur will host the Wicomico Lady Indians on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in Berlin.
