(Oct. 26, 2018) The Stephen Decatur girls’ soccer team received the No. 4 seed in Section II of the 3A East Region bracket and will play the James M. Bennett Clippers on Monday in Salisbury.

“The girls finished the regular season playing the best they have played all season,” Decatur Coach Maggie Berke said.

The Lady Seahawks wrapped up regular-season competition with a 4-8 record. They will play at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

“We need to play the way we played against Parkside last week – aggressive, faster on the ball and more use of the entire field, and we need to heal some injuries that we have right now,” Berke said earlier this week.

The teams went head-to-head twice this season with Bennett, the 3A East Region Section II top seed, winning 7-0 and 5-0.
