(Oct. 2, 2020) The Worcester Prep golf team earned first place in Wednesday’s four-school match at GlenRiddle Golf Club in Berlin.

“The team played well. Overall the team is improving each week and different players are contributing,” said Prep Coach Don McMullen. “The team enjoys having the opportunity to play golf this season. Spectators were able to attend today and they practiced social distancing and wore masks.”

Worcester’s foursome scored a 182. Contributing to the victory was senior co-captain Kaden Mault (45), sophomore Harrison Humes (45), freshman Vanesska Hall (45) and senior co-captain TJ Bescak (47).

The Prep squad is now 3-0.

Gunston came in second place with a 208, followed by Salisbury School (228) and Salisbury Christian (244).

“The next three weeks we will have Wednesday matches at Nutters Crossings Golf Course in Salisbury against Gunston, The Salisbury School and Salisbury Christian,” McMullen said.

The competitions are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
